Following the guards through the long corridors, Jack smirked. This was going better than he had planned. As to what he was going to do when he got to the General, that was still open for debate. ‘Yes, I could protest his innocence,’ Jack thought to himself. ‘But I highly doubt the General would give me a fair chance. And then of course there was the situation of dealing with Moxies’s world. A world so pure, it should not exist. Of course, if the General and his men got their hands on the world – it would not be pure for long.’ Jack had a fairly good idea what he was going to do about that – but the how, that still had not revealed itself. He was still pondering this problem when they arrived at the General’s office. Motioning for the guards to open the door, Jack stopped short of entering it. Holing Jill close, he barked, “Okay, guys that’s good enough. Now I want you all to return to your rooms and stay there. Now remember, I will be watching on the cameras to make sure everyone abides by these rules.”
With a glare, the guard nodded, then turned to his men, “Okay, you heard this psycho. Everyone to your rooms. You are to remain there until further notice.”
“Yes Sir,” the guards replied, before turning and leaving.
Watching them leave,” Jack smiled at the remaining guard. “Your men respect you. That’s good. Now go, be a leading example to your men and coward in your room.”
The guard smiled, “I’m a man of my word. I told you that my men will stay in their rooms. Now let me make you a promise. If you harm the General or Jill in anyway, then I will put you down myself.”
“That’s the spirit,” Jack laughed. “Now run along, if you are not in your room within five minutes, then I will put a bullet in Jill’s head.”
