Susan slowly made her way through the damp cave holding the lantern out in front of her. The walls were covered in ancient script, an Archeologists dream. None of this mattered to Susan. She was looking for something different, something that would turn her fortunes around.

Ever since college, Susan struggled to find steady work. It was always an odd job here and an odd job there. Enough to meet her particular lifestyle for a couple of months, at least until the next job came along. Susan knew that eventually she would have to find something steadier, something permanent. This is why this latest job was so important. It was the last chance that she had to prove herself- to herself.

Walking around bend, Susan’s mouth dropped open in shock, a wide-open cavern lay in front of her. Spaced roughly four feet apart, altars consisting of gold and silver hugged the walls of the cavern. In the center of the room, stood a hand carved red diamond throne. On either side of the throne, stood a massive book its pages sparkling from the paper-thin Gold Leafs, that held strange encryptions. Stepping into the cavern, Susan failed to notice the pressure plate that lay hidden beneath the debris that scattered the caverns entrance.  

Boom!

Susan jumped at the sound of the crumbling stone as the entrance to the cavern came tumbling down. Turning around, she saw that she was for the moment trapped in the cavern. “Well, I might as well make the best of a bad situation.’ Susan grumbled. Stepping further into the room, she looked around again, but her gaze kept coming back to large book that stood in the center of the cavern
