Grey clouds blurred in Jacks mind. He knew that something had happened, but as for what, he didn’t know. All he knew what that he had to get going, that he had to find Jill and convince her to tell the General that all of this was an accident…and if anyone was at fault, it was her and not him.

Jack of course tried to explain all of this, but the General wouldn’t believe him, that’s why he had to find Jill and make her take responsibility for her mistakes. A shadow leaned over Jack, hissing some words in a weird language. This shadow was followed by another and another. In total there were four shadows. Jack tried to move, but found himself pinned as they bent closer to him and then he was in the air. Floating, but stationary. A fifth shadow emerged, hissing directions to the other four. Jack tried again to sit up, only to find that he was completely immobile.

‘None of that matters now,’ Jack thought to himself as he felt the shadows move forward. ‘What matter is that I’m prepared for when they let their guard down. That is when I will make my move.’
