Hipp hip pity ity hop ityy down the bunny trail….I know that I should write out my plans for projects that I want to get done this summer- however I really don’t want too. Because when I do this, this means that I’m dedicated to doing this and that will be my driving force this summer. But alas the insurance company wants certain assurances that things will be taken care of…..so I suppose this means that I should do it.
1. Get the breaker box replaced. We already have half of the money. Now we just have to save up the other half.
2. Take down the back addition. It seems that the insurance company has a concern about this- to which is understandable. My idea is to leave the base there and put new plywood for the floor. Essentially turning it into a deck.
3. Replace the walls of the garage. This is one of the projects I wanted to work on over the summer. My idea is to do a little at a time.
4. Remodel the bathroom. This will be the major project for the summer.
5. Finish paying off the coal stove and have it installed. This will most likely take place in May.
6. Either get the SUV fixed or trade it in for a new vehicle. Preferably a truck. All of this will be decided in the next week or two.
7. Order new wicks for the kerosene heaters. If I can, I will try and do this, this payday.
8. Finish sweeping the sidewalk. The reason this stopped was because of the weather and the SUV is out for repairs (I need to use the trailer to haul the ash).
9. Clean up the junk on the side of the house. It needs to be taken to the dump…unfortunately this has to wait until the SUV situation is taken care of.
10. Finish filling up the one-pound propane tanks. I have ten done, though I believe that they are going to be used this coming week.
11. Fix the printer
12. Finish editing Crow and then prepare it to be sent out to potential publishers.
13. Finish the current weekly blog…and then start a new one.
14. Get an empty kerosene container and mark it as having old kerosene.
15. Find out how I’m suppose to dispose of old kerosene….
16. removed for personal reasons. If you really want to know, then come to my house and look on the wall
17. Possibly put some kind of skirting over the fence so that the dogs won’t cause to much trouble with the neighbors’ dogs.
18. Whatever else might come up…because if I listed everything – this list will be too long.
19. Not to worry about things I have no control over.
20. To be nice….
21. To write out this goal list
Well I believe that this is all I have to say for the moment. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to be up at 6 am tomorrow morning. So it is going to be an early bedtime for me.’
Sincerely,
Richard Polk
