Jack knew that he had only a couple of minutes before someone realized that something had gone wrong. Though he had eliminated most of the threat by forcing the guards and personnel to go back to their quarters, there was still an off chance that some might be lingering around.

Opening the office door, Jack made a beeline for the food court. He stopped however at the foot of the stairs. ‘Wait what am I doing,’ Jack muttered to himself. ‘There is an easier way of getting to the transporter room and now that I have the key cards, I have access anywhere on the base.’ Doing a quick turn on his heels, Jack quickly ran up the stairs to the third floor. There at the end of the hall was the security checkpoint that he would have to pass in order to get to the elevators.

Walking up to the security checkpoint, Jack looked around. It was deserted.  This was going to be easier than he thought. Stepping through the checkpoint, Jack made his way to the elevator and waved his badge under the scanner. With a ding, the doors opened and he stepped inside. Hitting the button for the fourth floor, Jack was surprised when the doors didn’t close. Hitting the button again, he got frustrated when the door still refused to close. “Why won’t you work for me, you stupid piece of equipment,” Jack yelled.

“Key pin required” an automatize voice replied.

“What was that,” Jack asked.

“Key pin required. This is your second of three chances. Failure to supply required pin will result in lockout.
