- Finish editing Crow. I only have a few pages left. I only need to put in a section on handing off the rocket boots to Ava and then finishing the editing
- I need to finish the current blog. This also is almost wrapped up, however I have seemed to have lost the motivation to work on this…I need to find it again.
- Once Crow has been edited. I need to look up possible publishers and agents. I know that there is a list online, I just need to find it.
- Around this same time, I need to put out feelers for Beta readers. This will be a bold but necessary step- mainly because no one has laid eyes on this piece since its creation 3-4 years ago.
- Begin writing the second book of Crow. This is where my heart lies. I’ve been wanting to write this since the completion of the rough draft of Crow. But at that time I had the two books of Healing disease that needed to be published Amazon.com: Healing Disease eBook : Polk, Richard: Kindle Store , Healing Disease: Part Two – Kindle edition by Polk, Richard. Religion & Spirituality Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com. and Therapy that was a blog that I edited and turned into a short story, Therapy – Kindle edition by Polk, Richard, Brelow, Greg. Religion & Spirituality Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com. So I put Crow on the back burner and edited and self-published these three books. After this I need to take a break from editing, so I started working on a new project that later was named Project November. This was a break away from the Scfi-Fantasy and more into the Science Fiction. The novel involves the creation of a teleportation device that makes use of a digital world that was created by Jill for this sole purpose. However, little did jack and Jill know that when they created this world, that they inadvertently created Moxie as well, a young innocent girl who through a series of tragic accidents – becomes self-aware. This of course is a great concern of the power to be since Moxies first introduction caused the death of a local drunk – thus throwing a possible light on the secretive project. Moxie only made things worse when she tried to return the severed head – she felt guilty for taking it and tried to right her wrong. It was a this point she was deemed a hostile and jack and Jill were ordered to stand down and let the military take over. However, jill was convinced that all of this was a big misunderstanding and sought to find a way to warn Moxie about the General’s plans to release a digital bomb and erase Moxie forever, while still keeping her world intact.
Now naturally Jill accomplishes all of this, but the novel ends with jill being put on trial in the digital world. Will she shrive being labeled a terrorist of Moxie’s world? Will she find a way to prevent war from breaking out between the two worlds? Yes and No… but an invasion is going to happen – why? Because that just sounds cool. But for how serious and intense it gets, that of course will need to be determined in the second novel.
But this is what my writing has been in a nutshell for the past few years. I’m looking forward to the next stage, but I need to finish this stage first and that of course seems really tedious to be right now and yet it needs to be done and when it is done, then I can move on to what make my heart sing.
Sincerely,
Richard Polk
