I don’t have much time – the time is nearly up – the hands of the clocks are winding down or are they winding up? Each scenario works – time hasn’t stopped nor will it ever. Time is eternal – to a point. Time is relative since it is a man-made idea. Even without clocks – humankind is constantly looking up at the sky and determining the time of day- whether it is time to take lunch, or to start or end the day.
Speaking of time. I now have ½ an hour left before I must go to bed. Rest is good. Rest it seems is something that I rarely get enough off. I either have projects that require my attention, or I am working. This is the way it has been this is the way it will be. This is how it is for the population at large and there is not much anyone can do about it. You have responsibilities and you have tasks that need to get done. This is life.
Life sucks, life can be cold and mean – heartless at times. However, life is also beautiful and wonderful. An adventure that only happens once for you. Cherish it. Embrace it. Don’t be afraid to live. Breathe life into others, without expecting them to breathe life into you- but accept them when they want to do this for you.
Everything your hand touches, receives the breath of life. This is in part why the creative mind must create. This is their way of giving back- of sharing what they themselves have been given and having fun while doing it, I assume this is how most people feel, when they are practicing their craft.
What is your craft, not your job, but your craft. My craft is writing, whereas it is kind of my second job- it doesn’t pay the bills. Perhaps when I’m able to successfully publish and promote and novel- traditionally or otherwise and get a group following, then perhaps I will becoming famous and earn enough to live off of. Notice, I didn’t say wealthy- since even the famous writers usually only make enough to get by.
But here ends my rant, my only wish with my writing is that it guides the reader, it helps the reader with whatever they are currently dealing with. It gives them encouragement by assuring them that someone has already gone through what they went through and that everything will be okay. Now again the time is going down, though the clocks are winding up. It is time for me to finish this piece and head to bed. Tomorrow, I will edit this and then post it as the weekly blog…. And then it is in the readers hands if they chose to read this or not.
Sincerely,
Richard Polk
