Journal Entry 394

12/16/2021

Savannah is barking at my mother, because she is an unfamiliar. Yes, my parents are back in town for Christmas. Speaking of which, this next week is bound to be crazy. But crazy is what I expected. What I didn’t expect was how much I would be annoyed by not working on a project. I honestly thought, that I should take a break from working on my writing projects and just write random stuff for fun. This turned out to be a really bad idea. First off, I found out I’m miserable when I don’t have a project to work on… and when I’m miserable, I have a tendency to be more of an asshole to those around me, than usual.

So for the sake of my sanity and everyone’s else’s, I will be resuming the editing process of Crow after Christmas. This means, that I will most likely act like a jerk in the meantime, though I will do my best to tone it down.

Now as for what I’m going to write tonight, I really don’t have an idea. To be honest I didn’t really want to write- though I knew I should.  And here I am…writing about something -that really is nothing. But now is something. If you are lost, then so am I. Together we can be lost, until we are found by another. But then, would all three of us be lost or would we all see the same light?

A light that no one else sees, except the conductor, who sees three idiots, walking blindly on the tracks. Now if you have been following along, you’d have known I’d make a real lame, worn out joke about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel- though I do recommend that you get out of the way, before you get run over by the little train that could and most definitely will not stop and wait for you to get out of the way. Partly because it is a train and figures that you should no better, but mostly because some unknown villain – who I totally did not just make up- cut the little trains brakes – for no other reason than life – which can be fleeting, though never pointless- is nothing more than a beautiful train wreck.

Agree with him, disagree with him. I personally don’t care. I do however, would like to see what the insurance pay out would be on a fictional made-up train.

Sincerely,

Richard Polk
