Journal Entry 398

It has been 3-4 days since Ola has gone missing. I’ve come to the point that if she comes back, she does, if she doesn’t, she doesn’t. I have to stop worrying about this. I know myself. If I let my emotions run me, then I become a wreck. The best thing for me to do, is to move on and live my life. Do I still hope she comes back? Yes.  Am I counting on it? No. This is how I have to get over it. I can spend all my time chasing wild hopes and dreams or I can trust that God has everything under control and leave it like that.  I don’t know his reasoning for such things and in fact I’m quite angry about it. But whether I’m angry or not, God will do what he will and who am I to know his reasonings?

As it stands, my wife’s dog Gizmo is going to visit the vet tomorrow. Hopefully, everything will workout with him. This is where my priority is right now. My wife’s concerns and needs always come before mine. I know at times it doesn’t seem this way. I know at times, I can come across as demanding, cold and mean. But I do care deeply for my wife and her Mexican chihuahua (who happens to be an illegal immigrant gardener…shhh don’t tell immigration). He actually is a good little dog.

But that is all I have for now. Tomorrow comes early, like six- seven early and I need to get my sleep.

Sincerely.
